About Simple Cross Stitch
Simple Cross Stitch is a small, hobby‑focused website that helps you turn an image into a printable cross stitch chart. The goal is to make chart‑making faster for beginners while keeping the interface simple for experienced stitchers.
What this site does
- Image → chart: upload a photo or illustration, pick the stitch size, and generate a symbol chart.
- DMC floss list: the generator outputs an estimated thread list with stitch counts.
- Browser‑only processing: your image is processed on your device by your browser (the generator does not upload your image).
Who is this for?
If you’re brand new, start with the Cross stitch basics guide and try the Stitch Trainer mini game on the home page. If you already stitch, the Tutorial and Photo → pattern guide will help you get cleaner charts from real photos.

Please only convert images that you have permission to use (your own photos, licensed artwork, public domain images, etc.). Converting an image into a stitch chart does not grant copyright permission.
